On Tuesday 19 December at 3:00 p.m. there will be a picket in front of the Presidential Palace. Organizers indicate that this is simply a form of opposition to president Andrzej Duda's decision to sign the Act on the financing of an unethical in vitro procedure.
As the organizers of the event from the Centre of Life and household and the PRO Foundation – Right to Life announce, the event will be a manifestation of opposition and a prayer character. Representatives of organisations critically assessing the President's decision are to talk before the Presidential Palace. Then the gathered will refuse the rosary in the intention of defending the life and dignity of all man in Poland.
"We are critically assessing president Andrzej Duda's decision to sign the Act on the financing of artificial in vitro fertilization. There's a certain conspiracy of silence around the procedure itself. The fact that it has the characteristics of eugenics and abortion is omitted. In all case only 1 or 2 human embryos have a chance to be born. Others go to the freezer forever without the anticipation of developing and birthing” – indicates the Centre of Life and Family.
The organizers of the assembly in front of the Presidential Palace indicate that this peace event, which is expected to give a clear signal that a large part of the public opinion in Poland does not accept forging unethical laws. Therefore, as they say, it is essential to express its disapproval publicly.
The initiators of the event show that public rosary prayer will be a very crucial element. Its intention is to defend life in Poland and to defend the dignity of all human being, regardless of the phase of its development. "We besides pray that erstwhile politicians make decisions they remember the inalienable dignity of all man and do not pass laws against these values" – indicates the Centre of Life and Family.
The organization has so far encouraged the signing of an online appeal to the president to veto the bill. Petition on the website https://childfaremnietowarem.pl Almost 9,000 people signed.
The event before the Presidential Palace will take place on Tuesday 19 December at 3 p.m.
Representatives of respective organisations confirmed their participation. In addition to the Center of Life and household and the PRO Foundation – Right to Life, representatives of the Ordo Iuris Institute, the Fr Piotr Skarga Christian Culture Association, the All-Polish Youth, as well as persons active in the Men's Rosary initiative will participate in the event.
