At the War Cemetery, NSZ soldiers will remainder the remains of nearly 60 troops of the ward, which was the largest unit of the anti-communist underground in advanced Silesia and Beskidy. They were brutally murdered in September 1946 by communist security. This is the first war cemetery in Poland. – This cemetery was built in Kamesznica from 2024 to 2025, built by the Institute of National Memory to supply a burial place for soldiers of the NSZ group of Captain Henry Flame “Bartka”. To those soldiers who were murdered in an exceptional communist crime – an operation by Lawin, which was based on the pretext of the apparent evacuation of the troops to the west – emphasizes the head of the IPN commemoration unit Adam Siwek.
