U.S. president Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he had spoken to Lebanon's president Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and both leaders agreed to a 10-day ceasefire. The truce entered into force at midnight in Beirut and Tel Aviv.
