Aleksandra and Marcin Jaroszewiczie are married to a nine-year internship. She – a postgraduate of theology, he – an worker of the Museum of Cinematography in Lodz. – Before the wedding, we talked about what we would do if we found out in the future that we couldn't have children. At the time, we didn't think life would say "I'm checking." After the wedding, it turned out that both me and Marcin were infertile. That was very hard information for us. We cried for hours, we besides went through matrimony therapy," says Aleksandra. “When we accepted the fact that we would not become biological parents, we decided that we would become a foster family. And step by step we have implemented this “Plan B” – he adds.

Four days that changed everything

From the first moment
Amelia's biological parents were deprived of parental rights, which allowed the girl to be adopted. The Jaroszewiczs admit that she loved them very quickly. – Marcin likes to say that he knew from the beginning that she was his daughter. She wrapped him around her finger. It took me a small longer, but after 2 or 3 weeks, I realized I was gone too. The chances that Amelia would be adopted were very small, precisely due to her under-performance. But for us who have always had people with disabilities in our surroundings, it was no problem. We just loved Amelia and decided that we wanted to be her parents, not just her guardians," says the woman.
– Believe me, at the time that Amelia was adopted by us, erstwhile she realized that it was her home forever, she began to grow even more. It has an unspoken atmosphere of spirit and joy.
