"Polish-French talks on the acquisition of submarines will shortly take place. The favorites are Germany, Swedes and Italians. “Orka” is simply a program for the acquisition of submarines, which has lasted for respective years. It's about getting 3 units that will cost a twelve billion dollars. Companies from France, Spain, South Korea (two), Germany, Sweden and Italy joined the proceedings. After examining the offers, the Armed Forces Agency has best assessed the proposals from Germany (ThyssenKrupp Marina Systems), Sweden (Saab) and Italy (Fincantieri). Intergovernmental talks are now being conducted. Deputy Minister of National Defence Bejda was in Italy and Germany. There was talk, among others, of submarines. Delegations of the Ministry of Defence besides hosted twice in Sweden, where they besides discussed "Orce". In the coming weeks, further discussions will be held, during which the Polish side will want to get the best possible financing conditions and broadly understood cooperation of defence industries, not necessarily related to the shipbuilding sector. At the beginning of September, an intergovernmental agreement with the selected country is to be signed during MSPO in Kielce, and a detailed agreement will be negotiated on this basis in the following months. The optimal option is to include it in the first 4th of next year. Even if the contract can be signed in 2026, the first deliveries are not expected to be faster than in 2032."
Friday media review; Beijing does not make a deal with the US and Russia; the French are inactive fighting for Orka
