PGZ prepares Baobab for export

The Polish Armoured Group and the Czech Armed Holding Czechoslovak Group (CSG) want to jointly invade the markets of the mediate East. During planet defence Show 2026 in Riyadh, companies signed an agreement on the export production of the version of the Polish Baobab mine miner platform. The vehicle will be built on the chassis of the truck Tatra 6 x 6.

The Czechoslovak Group (CSG) Tatra is 1 of the largest European truck manufacturers. The brand's commercial cars since 1850 – although it has undergone respective ownership changes – have gained the reputation of highly well-managed in hard terrain, mainly thanks to the unique plan of drive shafts and suspensions. This can be seen, for example, in the mediate East and Asian markets, where Tatry trucks, especially the T815 and T816 household models, have a marketplace share of respective percent in this segment. It is adequate to mention that only India has produced respective 1000 vehicles under the Czech licence for the last decade.

In this part of the world, the Tatras want to usage the Polish Armoured Group. During the planet defence Show 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the national holding company signed with Czechoslovak Group a.s. (CSG) – an export integration agreement version Baobab miner platforms with Tatra 6 x 6 chassis.

– PZZ is the maker of 1 of the state-of-the-art overhead minning systems in the Western world, which is already utilized by Polish armed forces, and our partner CSG is simply a globally recognized supplier of land platforms and chassis of the Tatra brand. Cooperation with specified an experienced maker and exporter extends the anticipation of offering a modular miner strategy for further abroad markets," commented Marcin Idzik, vice president of PGZ SA. And he added: "I am convinced that this is only the beginning of joint actions to grow both companies.

National holding companies and CSG want to cooperate not only in the mediate East but besides in another parts of the world, with a peculiar focus on the markets of European customers. – We believe that the modular distant mine strategy on the Tatra chassis will meet with large interest in the market. Many countries are presently looking for modern solutions in this category – emphasized Wojciech Grzonka, president of CSG Polska. “We will actively search fresh possible export markets for this solution, and at the same time anticipate to grow cooperation with PGZ-et”, he announced.

The first Baobab recipient on Tatra 6 x 6 may be Saudi Arabia. The army there is very curious in this construction, and delegations of Saudi armed forces visited the PGZ/CSG stand in Riyadh.
