"We request an extension of the word of public consultation for 1 month, due to the fact that the task concerns the creation of 2 fresh subjects: wellness education and civic education; the justification for the reasons why the appointment of fresh subjects is to be combined with the compulsory elimination of the subject Education for Life in the Family", wrote the Board of the Polish Federation of defence Movements of Life in a letter to the Minister of National Education Barbara Nowacka.

The Ministry of National Education submitted for public consultation a draft regulation on the creation of 2 fresh subjects: wellness education and civic education. The Management Board of the Polish Federation of Life defence Movements requests Minister Barbara Nowacka to extend the public consultation deadline by 1 period (the deadline for submitting comments is 21 November). ‘The applicable Regulation is described in the draft and in its justification on 90 pages, containing the legal and substantive provisions of the proposed objects. The preparation of this paper and the programming basis lasted about 10 months in MEN. A fair mention to these proposals requires more time to draw up professional and full professional opinions and proposals. This is not possible in specified a short period of time, given that holidays and extra days off work are taking place during this period", the attention was drawn.

The Federation of Life besides called on the Minister of National Education to "justify the reasons why the creation of fresh objects is to combine with the compulsory elimination of the subject Education for Life in the Family, which includes a regulation aimed at consultation". The letter notes that “the subject of household Life Education has a large group of well-educated, experienced teachers, approved by MEN as a applicable basis and well-developed, ready-made educational materials. In addition, technological studies have shown that this subject is well regarded and has a affirmative impact on the attitudes of the students.”

"On behalf of the 38 organisations associated with the Polish Federation of Life defence Movements, we ask for the essential explanations to be able to mention to the details of the fresh proposals contained in the draft regulation in a rational and in accordance with the good of the students," the Management Board of PEROŻ urged.

On 30 October 2024, Minister Barbara Nowacka submitted for public consultation a draft regulation amending the regulation on the basis of pre-school curriculum and the basis of general education for primary school, including for students with average or crucial intellectual disabilities, general education for sectoral first-degree school, general education for peculiar school equipping to work and general education for post-secondary school with justification and OSR. The deadline for sending comments was set at 21 November this year, or only 21 days from the date of publication.
