The celebration went well, many Siberians came to our joy. After mass in the intention of the Siberians and their families, dead in Siberia from starvation or typhus, dead in the conflict of Monte Cassino and during another fighting in the II Corps, Gen. Anders was read 2 poems and we sang “Hymn Sibirak” and “Red poppies”. Our guests were then offered cakes, coffee and tea. After a treat, we saw the movie “Red poppies”.
The exhibition “Our Sibiracy” made on the basis of the stories and pictures provided by them was a large pleasance to our Celebrists. The most photographs were from camps in Africa, where the Siberians stayed until 1950, and on 14 February arrived by ship Gen. Langfit to the port of Fremantle, Western Australia, the Ukrainians and Belarusians settled in their homes in the Kresas.
In 1 of the photos is our Sibireka Irena Kruchowska showing herself in photographs from a camp in Africa.
