PERTH (AUSTRALIA) | Celebration of National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers

8 and 9 March 2025 in Perth, Australia we celebrated another National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers.

We started on Saturday with a “Wolf Trop” in which children from 4 years of age participated in advanced school and adults. Former 3 different routes, depending on the age of participants.

There were about 60 runners. The organizers were: Poland School in Western Australia, Polish paper Club in Perth and Union Polish Political Prisoners in Australia. The large rewards were given by Ours Polonia and the Freedom and Democracy Foundation.

On Sunday, a Mass was celebrated in the Polish church in Maylands in the intention of the Cursed Soldiers and their families, and a movie entitled “Warszyce” was shown. In the Polish Roman Catholic Centre, you can see the exhibition by the Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences “Cursed Soldiers. The independency Underground 1944 – 1963” from 1.03 – 16.03.2025. The organizers of these events are the Polish paper Club in Perth and the Polish Roman Catholic Centre.
