The group sent includes, among others, the USS Tripoli landing ship, which has been stationed in Japan so far, along with the Marine Corps soldiers assigned to it – this unit is already on its way to the region. "WSJ" stresses that a typical landing group counts respective warships and about 5,000 marines.
