It would seem that after the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling, around 200,000 seniors will yet be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Their benefits are to increase by around PLN 1,200, but that is inactive a long way off. It turns out that the Social Insurance Institution inactive has no basis to pay beneficiaries the compensation they are owed. We explain how it is possible that the money they are owed cannot be paid to seniors in practice.
