The death of Pope Francis closes 1 of the most hard chapters in the past of the modern Catholic Church. His pontificate, full of decisions of concern and controversy among the faithful around the world, was to the very end the subject of serious analyses, hot debates and many question marks. The pope left, who more than any of his predecessors in fresh centuries put the Church to the test — a test of faithfulness to Tradition, perseverance in faith, and discernment of fact in the midst of confusion.
W PCh24.pl From the beginning, we observed this pontificate carefully. We followed all speech, all encyclical, all paper and papal gesture, commenting on them without unnecessary emotion, but besides without unnecessary prejudice. We have always been guided by concern for the integrity of Catholic faith, which — we believe — is not subject to negotiation or change according to the passing of the world’s spirit or expectations.
We wrote about the painful effects of the paper Amoris laetitia, which opened the door to Holy Communion for those who proceed in dense sin, sowing confusion in teaching about the inseparability of marriage. We warned against mistakes Abu Dhabi DeclarationsIn which Francis signed the thought of spiritual pluralism, contrary to the mission of preaching Christ as the sole Savior. We responded to the decision to limit conventional liturgy by Traditionalis custodes, seeing in it the effort to choke the vital forces of the Church, rising from Tradition.
Since the very beginning of our existence, our goal has been to service the truth. erstwhile others closed their eyes to disturbing changes, we continued to ask: ‘ Does all this lead us closer to holiness? ’ Is what we see in harmony with what Christ and his Church have taught for 2 1000 years? Are today's reforms responding to God's will or to the demands of the world? Not for popularity, not for sensationalism, but for love of the Church, we have responded many times to words that have cost us quite a few ostracism and even attacks.
Now that the sede vacante period has begun, and the Church is waiting for the election of the fresh Successor of St Peter, our work to the faithful becomes even greater. The upcoming conclave is simply a fundamental event not only for the Church but besides for the full Christian civilization. It will be up to those who are elected to the Holy See whether the Church will return to the way of faithfulness to the Tradition or whether the crisis we are witnessing will deepen.
This is why our editorial board has decided to be present in Rome during the conclave.
