A long-awaited regulation by non-professional soldiers regarding increases in their wages was published in the diary of Laws. The fresh rates will be charged with an equalisation from 1 July. For the day spent in the army, the Private will receive PLN 169, Ensign – PLN 216 and Lieutenant 235. In any cases, the rates increased by 20%.
Unlike professional soldiers who receive a monthly salary, non-professional soldiers receive a wage in the alleged days of their stay in the military. These include, for example, active reserve soldiers, rotational territorialists, and reserve soldiers appointed for military exercises.
Even before the vacation in the Ministry of Defence, legislative work on raising daydays for non-professionals began. Until now, the regular amount of remuneration, for example, for the elder Private was PLN 146, Ensign 191, and Lieutenant 221 PLN. The published regulation increases these rates from 7.5% to almost 20%.
The biggest increase in wages is in the ranks. Their regular earnings rose from 16.8% to 19.9%. This means that during the day spent in the army, the Private elder will receive PLN 169, PLN 174, and Senior Private Specialist – 182 zł.
In turn, the officers will get more, i.e. from 10.3% to 19.7%. After the changes, the corporal can number on a regular wage of PLN 193, a platoon of PLN 198 and a Ensign of PLN 216. In the case of officers, the maximum increase was 7.5%. The rate for the lieutenant is 235 PLN, for the major – 251 PLN. Since the rank of Lt. Col. above the amount of regular bills remained unchanged. The lieutenant colonel will inactive receive PLN 281 per day spent in the military, the colonel will receive PLN 331 and the Brigadier General will receive PLN 371.
This is another increase for non-professional soldiers this year. In January, MON raised the regular wage by 11 PLN to everyone regardless of the military degree. In the preparation of a new, existing payroll table, the ministry took into account, among another things, the deficiency of taxation and the fact that no wellness contribution is paid on salaries.
Let us remind you that by the end of 2022 the amount of the regular allowance was charged a percent of the lowest wage of a professional soldier. It besides depended on the military degree. In practice, any increase for professional soldiers besides meant an increase in wages for non-professionals. On the another hand, Since January 2023, for all day spent in the military, a soldier receives a fixed ratewhose tallness depends on his military rank.
Unprofessional soldiers can besides number on many financial additions. They are entitled, for example, to a peculiar allowance paid due to peculiar military conditions. These include underwater work with diving equipment, parachute jumps, land minerage, harmful service, as well as tasks related to direct participation in the fight against natural disasters or their consequences. The professional can besides number on a functional supplement. It shall be paid to a soldier entrusted with acting as squad commander or assistant platoon commander or to 1 who performs his duties in another command post provided for a professional soldier. The last supplemental benefit is contribution paid for combat preparedness. It belongs to any soldier of territorial military service who meets the alleged training minimum. It will be given to the territories, which will take part in at least 2 days of training per period or execute another tasks specified by the military. As of this year, this allowance is PLN 600.
