In July there was an exercise of the Georgia National defender “Partner-24” under Brig-Gen Roman Jokhaga. This year's edition was attended by soldiers from 4 NATO alliance countries, including representatives from the Territorial Defence Army Command and the 5th Mazovia Territorial Defence Brigade.
"Partner-24" is an exercise organised by the Georgia National defender aimed at responding to the crisis and countering hybrid action.
The chief commander was GNG Brig-Gen. Roman Jokhadze, in turn participants - territorial defence units, volunteer soldiers and Georgian peculiar troops. Representatives of territorial defence from Poland (Territorial Defence Army Command and 5 Mazowiecka Brigade OT), the United States, Lithuania and Latvia were invited as observers.
This exercise aimed at strengthening interoperability at operational and tactical level in crisis management between the Georgian National defender and state institutions, local authorities and emergency services. During a fewer days of activities, the cognition of the procedures launched in consequence to emergencies, specified as natural disasters and communication with the local community, was examined to guarantee adequate safety and order.
In order to preserve the realism of the actions carried out, any elements of the script were held in the forestous mountain areas in Tetritskaro. The main effort during the applicable part of the exercise included interplay of services in the event of a terrorist threat, diversion sabotage, public order destabilisation, attempts to take over the barracks complex and economical complexes. In addition, the fire extinguishing strategy has been trained and coordination of the emergency consequence managers.

Co-operation in the global environment, in this case besides with the Georgian partner formation of our Brigade, is an chance to draw conclusions and insights that can aid to improve our procedures and increase our capacity to act in crisis situations," concluded an officer from the 5th Mazovia OT Brigade.

The Georgia National defender has been a partner formation for the 5th Mazovian Territorial Defence Brigade since 2021. global cooperation contributes to developing a territorial defence concept based on the possible of civilian societies and building regional cooperation between territorial formations.
According to the fresh provisions of the Home defence Act, according to which the Territorial Defence Army was entrusted with a non-military part of the tasks of crisis management in the Ministry of National Defence - Commander of the WOT became Head of the MON Emergency Management Centre and the commanders of the OT Brigade replaced the erstwhile Heads of the WSZ and became advisers to the voivodships in coordinating and implementing military support in case of a crisis situation in the region.
