Parliament of Ukraine approved the National Pantheon project

The Ukrainian parliament adopted the Act on the creation of the National Pantheon – a memorial site that is to gather the most crucial figures from Ukraine's past and become a symbolic summary of its history. The task is not fresh due to the fact that its thought appeared already during the presidency of Viktor Yushchenko, and was later developed under Petr Poroshenko's rule. In fresh years, the concept has been further described by the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, and has now returned as a real political initiative and received the support of the authorities.
