The Sejm and the legislature open their gates on Sunday 18 January to all those willing. Between 10:00 and 4:00 p.m., residents will be able to visit the nooks of the Polish parliament and participate in many thematic attractions.
The law firm of the Sejm prepared a program referring to the interwar twentieth anniversary. It is simply a tribute to Ignacy Daszyński, Marshal of the Sejm from 1928 to 1930, whose resolution of September last year was established as a patron of 2026.
Attractions in the Sejm
Visitors will be able to see the main jobs of Members, the Column Hall, the facilities and the gallery of the Hall of Meetings. The Chancellery of the Sejm informed: «An exhibition of artifacts from the collections of the Sejm Library will be prepared for visitors. There are besides workshops in print, photograph studios, age-old cars, pre-war coffee tastings and a candy stand. The "Blue" Historical Reconstruction Group will conduct reconstruction workshops, and the Virtual Theatre of past will present VR performances. Creative fun and "kino in pocket" – a taumatrop were prepared for children.
The legislature invites you for a day with fairy tales
The legislature organized "Grandmother's Fairy Day". The Higher Chamber encourages: «It will be a unique chance to spend a peculiar day in the heart of the Polish Parliament together with grandmother, grandpa and grandchildren».
The cabinet of the legislature Speaker, plenary hall, foyer and legislature committees will be available. The program includes screenings of iconic fairy tales, lectures on "How fairy tales were created, erstwhile there were no computers yet", post-school animation workshops and art workshops. For the youngest, there is simply a children's animation region and a photograph booth AI.
Practical information
The entrance is free of charge, but requires proof of identity. You don't gotta book a seat early. All people undergo pyrotechnic checks. The point of issuing passes is located on Wiejska Street.
