On Friday, the Polish parliament rejected the presidential bill on aid to Ukrainian citizens. 244 Members voted against, 198 voted against and 3 abstained.

At the end of August, president Karol Nawrocki vetoed an amendment to the Act on Assistance to Ukrainian Citizens. The government has prepared its own task on household benefits for foreigners, which has already entered into force.
