Conflicts between Paris and Berlin. In the background, gigantic money and Ukraine

[As reported by the Politico portal](https://www.politico.eu/article/germany-france-clash-us-weapon-90-billion-loan-Ukraine/), Germany and the Netherlands argue France's proposal to limit Ukraine's ability to acquisition US weapons from an EU debt of EUR 90 billion. According to Paris, money should mainly go to European arms companies to strengthen the defence manufacture of the European Union. German and Dutch politicians in turn believe that Ukraine should have more freedom to spend money on defence, including for the acquisition of equipment outside the EU, if essential to defend Russia. They stress that Ukraine urgently needs air defence systems and ammunition manufactured in the US.
