Panel: Navy and safety in the Baltic

The Polish Navy is presently undergoing a process of method modernization, which will lead to maintaining, restoring and enhancing the ability to defend maritime communication routes and participation in combined NATO activities. At the same time, we observe the increasing importance of the Baltic Sea area due to the change in the direction of supply of energy resources. With the introduction of fresh capabilities, the function of the Navy in the defence strategy of the Republic of Poland may increase further, among another things, due to the capability of maritime air defense.
