An article was published in the "UK Defence Journal" (UKDJ) in August by Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Crawford, erstwhile British Army officer. The text reminds us that Challenger 2 was the first western primary tank to be transferred to Ukraine. erstwhile the United Kingdom delivered 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine in March 2023 (after training Ukrainian crews to operate them), this was followed by a loud but short-lived echo. The UKDJ article recalls that the first media interest rapidly weakened, but there were clear reasons for this. First, there were fewer British cars. Secondly, it focused on the transfer of another Western primary tanks to Ukraine: Leopards 2 and Abrams.
