Pakistan's abroad Minister Ishaq Dar present confirmed that his country mediated talks between Iran and the United States. The first message by a typical of the Pakistani authorities on the subject confirms the Tuesday news of the fresh York Times (NYT).
In the entry on the X Dar platform, he stated that the current communication between Washington and Tehran cannot be called peace talks.
"Indirect talks between the United States and Iran take place utilizing Pakistan's communications. In this context, the United States has presented 15 points that are presently analyzing Iran," wrote the head of Pakistani diplomacy. He added that the Islamabad government initiative met with the support of "brother countries like Turkey and Egypt".
AFP, which quotes the entry of the head of the Pakistan MFA, stressed that this is the first authoritative confirmation by the authorities in Islamabad to broker them in contacts between Iran and the US. The Agency reported that both Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the head of diplomacy "keep regular contacts with high-ranking representatives of the Government of Iran, as well as with their Gulf allies". Traditionally, as AFP recalled, Pakistan is working closely with the US.
