General Leon Komornicki began his military career 1965 by starting his education at the Officer's School of Armoured Forces and Mechanized Stefan Czarniecki in Poznań. In an interview with the portal Nowa Confederacy explains why he joined the ranks of the Polish People's Army:
I just wanted to be a soldier. This is my element, my nature, my dream. I remember various household stories, memories, any things are passed almost genetically – my household comes from the East Borders. The ancestors lived in a constant sense of danger, readiness to fight. I had any serious dilemmas, of course. For example, I had to join a communist military youth organization, and they were all enrolled there. I didn't join the party. After a year in the unit, I was summoned to the commander of the regiment, this was the lion, a exile who went to the People's Polish Army. He was hauling in Lviv, he was worried like a father. He said to me: “You know, Lieutenant Komornicki, you cannot do military careers. It's a shame, due to the fact that you're a smart officer, but you'll be captain at most. Sign up for the party, damn it." I told him it was against my beliefs. Eventually, I was promoted to another officer's degree only after 4 years, although according to staff regulations this should take place after 3 years.
I was very moved to read those simple military words! Yes, 1 can have doubts, after the massacre of Poles in Poznań in 1956 which was carried out by the Polish Army under General Grzegorz Korczyński, a common pre-war criminal, half-analfabet, liable for the savage robberies during the German occupation. However, the desire to prosecute dreams is stronger! Although he joined the ZSMP, he did not join the Party! He bravely ignored the good advice of a good lion. It wasn't until 1972 that he had a crisis and a dilemma!
After 3 years of teaching at the officer's school, in 1968 Leon Komornicki is assigned to the 8th Dresden mediate Tank Regiment in Żagań, which participated in an operation codenamed “Dunaj”. As part of this operation, the allied allies of the Warsaw Pact provided brotherly help, in the chaos of Czechoslovakia.

I curse to defend the freedom, independency and borders of the Polish People's Republic from the temptations of imperialism, to stand firm in guarding peace in a fraternal covenant with the russian Army and another allied armies and, if necessary, without saving blood or surviving bravely to defend the Homeland, for the sacred origin of independence, freedom and happiness of the people.’
If I didn't care for my solemn oath of allegiance to The Fatherland has broken, let the harsh hand of folk justice scope me."

Reminiscing his career, General Komornicki says: Let's go back to the first years of my officer service. I yet broke down, and after 4 years, in 1972, I joined the party. The organization meetings were not absorbing and did not distract me from what was most crucial to me. They mainly afraid social matters, for example, whether soldiers had the right conditions.
He considered the mistakes and distortions he witnessed, most likely advised the old lion and chose the only right path, the service of the socialist homeland! Officer's honor requires allegiance to oath and flag!
In 1974, Leon Komornicki was directed to training at the Field Marshal Rodion Malinowski Academy of Armoured Forces in Moscow, which he completed in 1977. Dr Lech Kowalski repeatedly discussed the process of selection of Polish officers at the military universities of the russian Union in his lectures. all candidate had to belong to the Party, had to have affirmative opinions of political officers, the full résumé was carefully checked by both counterintelligence and the Military interior Service, the full household was thoroughly x-rayed by these services in cooperation with the safety Service. The sumumum, the training to the russian Union was attended by officers who were certain, most faithful of the faithful, and at the same time intelligent and full aware of whom and what they serve. There were no random people with grandpa or uncle from the AK or the NSZ!
In June 1976, at the command of the state authorities, the Polish Army, in coordination with the Civic Militia and the safety Service, brutally pacified protests of Poles in Lublin and Radom during which respective people were murdered. Leon Komornicki, a period of War State spent on sciences at the USSR Armed Forces General Staff Academy in Moscow. He returned to Poland in 1984. In 1986, he became Chief of Staff of the Polish Army. From 1987 to 1989, he commanded the 5th Saska Panzer Division in Gubna. In 1989 he became chief of staff – deputy commander of the Silesian Military territory in Wrocław, and from September 1990 he served as commander of the Warsaw Military District. From September 1992 to 1997, he assumed the position of Head of the Training Inspectorate and Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Polish Army. In 1997 he retired at the age of 50 and began his career as a businessman. Today, General Komornicki is in the media telling us about a terrible Russia that has been threatening freedom and democracy for centuries.

Threats to global safety will stay global terrorism and organised crime as components of instability and interior conflicts and sources of pathologies specified as arms, atomic and dual-use smuggling, drug trafficking- 19 stones and people, ransom kidnapping and illegal financial operations. The challenge is besides the uncontrolled migration of the population, caused both by conflicts and from economical and social problems.
Point 36 lists the hazard of regional and local conflicts without specifying the tensions created by Russia's annexation of Crimea and the very serious “regional” conflict in Lugansk and Donbasa.
36. In the neighbourhood of Poland there is simply a hazard of regional and local conflicts, which can affect it straight or indirectly.
