Ordo Iuris Institute and Life and household Center launched the task ‘Counselor for the small One“which aims to support families in the adoption process, both before and after adoption, and to advance adoption in the social space.
As part of the run he was prepared a guide entitled "Open the heart, open the house. Adoption of the kid step by step”. The authors of the study, which provides substantive support for future parents, are Dr. Łukasz Bernacinski and Mr. Marek Puzio of Ordo Iuris.
The main goal of the “Mecenas for the small One” run is comprehensive support for adoption and replacement families and a wide promotion of the creation of safe homes for abandoned children, with peculiar emphasis on those older people, with disabilities or in hard surviving conditions. The programme aims to combine families with children in request of care and a household home and to make the adoption procedure as stressful and complicated as possible. The initiative offers not only free legal and advisory assistance, but besides emotional, spiritual care and networking in the community of families sharing their experiences.
The guide itself was prepared as a brief and applicable guidewhich takes the reader step by step through the full adoption path. Its contents contain detailed descriptions eight stages of the procedure, from the first application to the adoption centre, through diagnosis and training, to the final proceedings before the household court. Publication requirements for candidates, discusses the most common causes of negative opinions and suggests how to increase the chances of successful completion of the process.
The guide besides includes a section “Truth and Myths of Adoption”, which refutes common misunderstandings, specified as the belief that advanced incomes are required or that procedures are overly lengthy. Readers will besides find there complete list of adoption centres in Poland together with the map and the moving evidence of the household that decided to accept the 3 siblings.
