The plane crashed during rehearsals before the air show in Radom. Pilot F-16 mjr Maciej "Slab" Krakowian, who died in the crash, was 35 years old. Last week he appeared at a press conference, stressing that the upcoming air show is very crucial to him and feels arrogant of it. - I have the unique chance to represent Polish air force - he emphasized.

As pilot and leader of the F-16 Tiger Demo squad I have the unique chance to represent Polish air force, and to show you the characteristics of our service from the position of the F-16 cockpit – said Major Krakowian last week during a press conference announcing the demonstrations in Radom.
