Ordo Iuris: Children punished for refusing to sign up for “health education”
date:21 June 2026 Editor: Anna

Ladies and gentlemen,
The mayor of the Greater Poland municipality of Baranów went to financial blackmail. She signed the order that children from Class IV–VIII will receive 800 PLN of co-financing for their holidays only if they attend ideological classes of "health education".
This is an assault on the parents’ right to rise their children according to their own beliefs — and prohibited discrimination. Therefore, the lawyers of Ordo Iuris have already offered free aid to parents to challenge an unlawful order. This is very important, due to the fact that the bad example from Baranów can easy spill across the country.

The decision of Wójt Baranów is an apparent continuation of the fight against parents led by the Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka. Her “health education” was rejected by more than 70% of parents who discharged their children. In response, the ministry decides... to make this subject compulsory. The clearly upset minister late referred to her parents in TVP Info as a “school nightmare”.
Thus, "health education" becomes a monument to the arrogance of power that refuses to perceive to citizens.
However, the voice of parents and their defenders will not silence! Thanks to your support, the professionalism of the Ordo Iuris experts stands on their side.

The time has come to systematically repair the relation between the education strategy and parents. A bill is almost ready, whose implementation will oblige schools to get written approval from their parents before participating in classes on subjects as delicate as psychosexual development. In the parliament there is already a bill prepared by our experts entitled “So for religion and ethics at school”, signed by half a million Poles.

Without ready laws and regulations, our protest would be barren. Now we can request concrete action from politicians.

We besides guarantee that the social force on the government continues. Together with a 100 partner organizations from the Coalition for the Salvation of the Polish School (KROPS) we organized a large demonstration in Warsaw on 14 June under the motto "Good school – strong Poland". Thousands of Poles protested the demolition of the education system.

Thanks to close cooperation with NSZZ Solidarność, our demands to defend parents' rights and save the school from Barbara Nowacka were placed at the forefront of the list of demands of a immense demonstration of Solidarity in the capital, which gathered nearly 300,000 Poles. There, from the phase under the Sejm, we demanded the protection of children, school and the restoration of a good program in education.
Left-wing media doesn't cover up what the government truly wants. "Health education" was not based on concern for children's health, but alternatively to put the vigilance of conservative parents opposed to sexualisation to rest. Newsweek wrote: “Nowacka cleverly combined sexual education with subjects that are hard to say that they may be subject to any ideology... It will be easier to defy attacks from the church and conservative part of society."

In a fresh government program of compulsory "health education" a multi-child, open-minded household is shown to children as 1 of the possible and equivalent choices – alongside non-marital couples who do not want children and single-sex systems. alternatively of patterns that give stableness and household happiness, they instill in children attitudes not only immoral, but besides statistically more violent, little happy, unstable and burdened with higher risks... health.

This was seen by the Committee on the Education of the Catholic Episcopate, which indicated that "health education" would contribute to "deepening the demographic crisis, expanding the number of divorces and sufferings of children, wellness problems, and, in a broader perspective, besides weakening the nation and state."

But the “health education” to enter schools after vacation is also:
- promotion of sex lies about the anticipation of a transversive sex change which in many countries has already led to thousands of tragedies of permanently mutilated children,
or even
- preparing for sexual initiation, agreeing to sex and discussing masturbation as “medical standards” during puberty,
- the strong promotion of vegan, vegetarian and planetary diets – not so much as beneficial to health, but as... climate-friendly – is explicitly stated in the programme's "health education" that the student is to justify the impact of "planetary, vegetarian, vegan diets (...) on human wellness and the environment".
No wonder the promotion of the fresh subject is accompanied by... changes in the school diet. The Minister of Health's regulation from 1 September of this year is intended to reduce meat consumption. As you can see, the reason for specified a movement is not so much the wellness of children, but the simplification of the carbon footprint and the protection of the planet.

This is all happening above parents' heads, and even against their open criticism of ideological solutions and changes.

The Ministry does not halt there. The government passed a bill by the Sejm to prevent schools from taking care of their students' appropriate clothes by forbidding them from wearing challenging, inappropriate outfits. Conversely, the bill declares greater self-government of schools, but at the same time limits their ability to form their own statutes. In a survey published on this subject, we justify why this task should be rejected. We hope that with the support of Poles we will convince the president of Poland to veto it.

Defending children from demoralization is simply a conflict for the future of Homeland. In a twelve years this young generation of Poles will decide on the face of Poland.

The education strategy must respect national traditions, culture and Christian heritage. According to the constitutional call to "give to future generations all that is valuable from the more than a 1000 years of work" (Preamble of the Constitution).

Today's government's actions are going to erase these values. Our work is essential to their behavior.

I believe that with your aid we will win this fight for the future of our children.

What is the mandatory "health education" of Minister Nowacka?
In the framework of the public consultation on the fresh framework for the "health education" and "health education – sexual health" subjects, we gave the Ministry the position prepared from the KROPS. MEN inactive does not solve the fundamental problem of "health education" – its anti-family and ideological character. The Ministry, under the appearance of wellness teaching, wants to familiarize the students with the worldview content that parents should decide to transmit.

In the compulsory part of the subject, students of Class IV-VI are to be taught that the breakdown of the household is average and natural. "Divorce, separation, parents' entry into fresh relationships" is to be presented to them alongside events specified as illness or... siblings' appearance. We point out that specified content can make unnecessary fear among children, against which a simple quarrel between parents may seem to them a announcement of divorce. alternatively of normalizing the breakdown of the household and relativizing the sustainability of marriage, the school should strengthen the sense of household safety and stability.

Its function should besides be to support parents in the work of raising children by shaping respect, gratitude and obedience to their parent and father. Unfortunately, instead, the programming basis for compulsory "health education" puts the kid as a possible controller of his own parents, who are to be seen as a threat to his rights. In turn, Class VII-VIII students are to be widely opened to the ideology of climateism, scholars of the designation of climate misinformation.

The draft programme basis for over-primary schools includes content that aligns family-based matrimony with informal unions, including single-sex unions. This is simply a clear impact in Article 18 of the Polish Constitution, which states that "marriage as a union between a female and a man, family, motherhood and parenthood are protected and cared for by the Republic of Poland". The ministry justifies its actions by saying that "building relations based on respect, dignity, love and responsibility".

In the formally optional part of “health education”, primary school students would learn how to prepare for sexual initiation and give informed consent to sex. They are besides to be informed that masturbation is simply a “medical standard” during puberty (this comes from a textbook for teachers praised by Minister Nowack). Children from primary schools are to be acquainted with the concepts of “psychosexual orientation” and “sexual identity”. In practice, this can lead to the introduction of innocent children into the perverse LGBT subculture world, creating uncertainty about their own sexuality. As a result, there may be a sharp increase in the number of cases of sexual dysphoria and demands for the usage of pronouns and names incompatible with the biological sex.

We intervene in defence of parents and students
Our lawyers already have serious experience in defending the rights of parents and children at school. Free legal aid includes, among another things, families of 5 13-year-olds from Kielna, whose English teacher gave a lesson in hatred of Christianity, throwing a cross into the basket in front of students hanging in the classroom.

Although the outrageous profanity shocked everyone, the school authorities did not take action on the substance for respective weeks after. It's just the publicity and intervention of our lawyers has changed the situation.

On behalf of the families of the 5 students, we handed over a letter to the D.A. announcing our engagement in a case concerning the image of spiritual feelings initiated by the mayor of the local community. We intervened erstwhile the police went against the law and procedure to begin interrogations of children from Kieln in school without parents present. We besides handed over a letter to the D.A. requesting that we halt the unlawful interrogations.

We published an analysis on the case. We pointed out in it that the right to the presence of crosses in schools and another public buildings is confirmed by the Constitution of Poland, the European Convention on Human Rights and the case law of Polish and European courts and tribunals. We stressed that the behaviour of an English teacher is simply a gross case of crime by images of spiritual feelings. A female with full awareness and evident premeditation threw out a spiritual symbol to humiliate Christianity in the eyes of teenage students. Her behaviour is in clear contradiction not only with the Criminal Code, but besides with the Teacher's Charter, which requires teachers to "train and educate young people in the love of the Homeland, in respect of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, in an atmosphere of freedom of conscience and respect for all man" and the Educational Law ordering respect for the Christian strategy of values.

Unfortunately, the Disciplinary Ombudsman for Teachers at the Pomeranian Voivodeship, without seeking the opinion and position of the injured children and their parents, dismissed disciplinary proceedings against the Englishwoman. The law governing the conduct of disciplinary proceedings against teachers does not supply for recourse to this judgement by the disciplinary officer of the victims. In opposition to this, we addressed a letter of appeal to the school's directorate in Kieło to appeal the decision.

Despite the discharge of the disciplinary case, the criminal case is inactive pending. And there we powerfully defend the interests of the injured students. Scandalous behaviour cannot go without echo and without consequences.

We fight for good law in the field of education
We are preparing a bill strengthening the rights of parents in the education strategy in order to decently comply with Article 48 of the Polish Constitution, which guarantees parents "the right to rise children according to their own beliefs".

Our bill provides that schools will decide whether to introduce a sexual object into the program. If they decide to do so, the Board of Parents will have a decisive vote in the selection of the programme. However, each parent would gotta actively enroll his kid for specified a class.

The Sejm is presently working on a civilian bill prepared by experts of Ordo Iuris entitled “Yes to religion and Ethics at School”, under which the Association of Swieckie Catechests collected 500 1000 Polish signatures. The paper provides that religion or ethics will be compulsory subjects, for individual choice, and that the Minister of Education will not be able to destabilize and restrict the teaching of religion in Polish schools, as Barbara Nowacka does today.

In May there was a joint gathering of the Sejm Committee on Education and discipline and the Committee on Territorial Government and Regional Policy, the subject of which was our bill. Unfortunately, the president of the Committee on Education and Science, Krystyna Szumilas, from KO, contrary to the rules of procedure, interrupted the sitting after just an hr of staged proceedings, stating that the bill would proceed to stand by until the Minister Barbara Nowacka had given his opinion on the project. It is unusual that the minister did not find time to respond to the postulate of half a million Poles... but our force will force the ministry to respond and the work will continue.

We argue the demolition of Polish education
Our experts regularly monitor legislative work on further changes in the education system. Among another things, we reacted to the government's draft Law on the Rights and Obligations of a Student, adopted by the Sejm, which strikes the right of parents to rise their children in accordance with their own beliefs.

Until now, schools have been able to freely regulate their interior rules of dress allowed on their premises and to specify the rights and duties of the student. Under the fresh regulations, a single, top-down catalog of student rights and duties will be created. Schools (not only public, but besides private and Catholic) will not be able to, for example, prohibit the wearing of short skirts, belly-discovering blouses, wearing nose earrings, or dyeing your hair on “non-standard” colors. In practice, this will limit parents’ ability to send their kid to a facility with close ethos.

In defending the rights of our parents, we published an analysis of the government's bill, discussing in item the most crucial shortcomings. Among another things, we have pointed out serious doubts about the establishment of institutions of the National Student Ombudsman, regional, region and municipal ombudsmen and schools (which are to function in each institution). We stress that this will adversely affect the education of young people, introducing the logic of the conflict. Teacher's relation – the student is by definition unequal: adults lead, require, measure and set boundaries. The establishment of a strategy of ombudsmen will match a school to quasi-court in which the teacher will focus not on educating children, but on applying procedures. By opposing the harmful bill, we will call on president Charles Nawrocki to veto it.

In the interest of Polish education, we published an analysis on how the demographic ideology affects the crisis in the education system. It points out that demoliberalism, contrary to declarations of the necessity to tolerate diversity and the request to keep world-view neutrality, tries to impose a very specific, highly individualistic, secular and relativism-filled moral ideology. Parents attached to the fundamental values of our civilization, who want to rise their children based on an nonsubjective hierarchy of good and evil, encounter expanding problems. Catholic schools are subject to force to adapt to standards imposed by the state, home education is restricted, and teachers awaiting moral discipline from students are accused of violating the autonomy of their pupils.

We will only defend our children from immorality together
The Left understands that education is simply a key issue for the future of Poland.

Young Poles are to be cut off from national traditions and cultures and widely open to propaganda of sex ideologists and Eurocrats wishing to build a centralised superstate on the ruins of Europe.

With the aid of the Donors and Friends of Ordo Iuris, our experts consistently defend the education strategy and the right of parents to rise children according to their own beliefs.

Therefore I am asking you to support the Institute with PLN 80, PLN 130, PLN 200 or any another amount, so that lawyers Ordo Iuris will be able to successfully defend the Polish education strategy from ideology with full commitment.

With respect
Jerzy Kwasniewski Ordo Iuris
