Orders of the White Eagle for Janusz Kapusta and Jerzy Kropiwnicki

On the occasion of the 3rd of May at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the ceremony of awarding the most crucial state awards was held today. Polish president Andrzej Duda honored the Orders of the White Eagle Janusz Kapusta and Jerzy Kropiwnicki.

The Knights of the Order of the White Eagle were:

Janusz Kapusta (74) – graphic designer, illustrator, phase designer, designer, lived and created in fresh York City from 1981 to 1920, collaborates with “The fresh York Times” or “The Wall Street Journal” and, for 3 decades, with “Rzeczpospolita”, his works have been in many collections of museums and galleries in the world;

Jerzy Kropiwnicki (80) – economist and politician, activist of democratic opposition during the period of the Polish People's Republic, minister in respective governments, MP in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland I and III term, from 2002 to 2010 president of Łódź, from 2016 to 2022 associate of the Monetary Policy Council, presently advisor to the president of the National Bank of Poland.

The awards were awarded in designation of the outstanding merits of the Republic of Poland, especially for democratic and free transformations of Poland, for achievements in state and public activities.
