The Visegrad Group, or the V4 Group, is an organization that brings together countries specified as Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary and is 1 of respective specified associations of countries in Central and east Europe. Its genesis must be sought first and foremost in uncovering a common interest in those countries where the objectives were to join NATO and the European Community (later the EU).
