Viktor Orbán unexpectedly turned to Donald Tusk, commenting on an entry published by the Polish Prime Minister on social media. In his entry, Orbán denied plans for Hungary to leave the European Union. As he stressed, his country does not intend to leave the Community but to change it.


"Premier Orban speaks openly present about Hungary leaving the European Union. It was worth winning elections so that Kaczyński's dream of "Budapest in Warsaw" would never come true. This is besides at the stake of the upcoming elections," Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on Thursday.

On Friday, Orbán personally responded to this entry. "Dear Donald, don't give yourself besides much hope. Hungary will not leave the European Union. Together with the Patriots EU, we intend to change it – to reconstruct its first character, as it had at the time erstwhile Poland and Hungary joined it," we read in the fresh Hungarian policy entry.

"At the time, Brussels officials served citizens, not themselves. At the time they did not interfere in the interior political debates of the associate States – as they do present in the case of Poland and Hungary" - said the Prime Minister of Hungary.



As we have late reported, however, thousands of Hungarians went to the streets on April 6 in protest against Orbán's rule. According to the Hungarian media, respective tens of thousands of demonstrators participated in the demonstration.

Some people think it's 100 grand. But according to Peter Magyar, the main organizer – the demonstrators could have been hundreds of thousands. There was no specified thing in Budapest a long time ago. Everyone stressed that this was 1 of the largest demonstrations in Hungary in years.

Hungarians have protested respective times in fresh weeks


– Step by step, brick by brick we will take our homeland from the hands of Fidesz and build modern, European sovereign Hungary – said Peter Magyar, the organizer of the demonstration, 1 of the loudest critics of Orbán lately.

– Magyar is simply a truly large man. He is trying to end the reign of the corrupt mob state that Orbán created. We cannot stand Orbán," he told PAP correspondent 1 of the participants in the protest.

Importantly, the Hungarian Parliament late adopted a law prohibiting the organisation of the Equality Parade and another events promoting LGBTQ+ rights. This law, justified by the protection of children, prohibits public gatherings that can "promot or present" homosexuality to people under the age of 18.

Critics compare this law to akin provisions in Russia, arguing that it represents another step towards limiting LGBTQ+ rights in Hungary.

– We defend the freedom of assembly," said 26-year-old psycho Emese during 1 of the manifestations, who did not give her name in fear of consequences. Her message was quoted by the AFP agency.
