On the veto by president Karol Nawrocki of the SAFE Programme Act.
– (...) There is no request to fear the direct consequences of this veto, due to the fact that I can handle it. And this government resolution is just specified a formal warrant that we will find ways to get this money to Poland – to Polish companies, army, police, Border Guard. However, what is happening at the minute with president Nawrocki, president Kaczyński and the rest, and confederations on the right, this is simply a clear anti-European course, anti-German hysteria, increasingly specified aversion towards Ukraine that fights Russia. And let us call it by name – those who say that this is an introduction to the polexit, to the exit of Poland from the European Union, are unfortunately more and more correct (...).
On the assessment of the President, who saw in a inexpensive debt from the European Union the assassination of sovereignty
– Well, that's bullshit. Poland has become the twentieth economy of the planet mostly thanks to the fact that we are drawing tremendous funds from the European Union. This loan, this debt to Armoured Poland, or European SAFE, is simply a large deal of money on many better terms than written loans from Korea or the United States. Poland must arm itself. I never attacked the Law and Justice for taking credit in Korea – although twice the interest rate (...). The loans that the Law and Justice Office took on military equipment during its regulation will charge Polish debt for long years, for generations. But I won't curse them due to the fact that I know there was a situation that required fast decisions. They weren't all smart. But in a situation like present – war, Russia's aggression, possible American-Chinese conflict, Iran's war – we must at all costs build the basic elements of the community (...). What worries me is determination and large deception – cheating their own voters. But what is the determination in this lie, since the task of a large debt for the Polish army is being vetoed against the opinions of entrepreneurs, trade unions of uniformed services, Polish generals (...).
About the letter of charges of Minister Zbigniew Bogucki, Head of the Chancellery of the president of Poland
– He's prepared a list of ridiculous charges without even knowing the content of the resolution, so let's leave it at that. I won't comment at all. Minister Bogucki and present-day representatives of the president and whether the PiS have dirty work to do. The dirty work, that is to tell Poles that alternatively of billions from Europe to defend Poland, the president prepared billions with Mr. Glapinski from the National Bank of Poland and will invent all possible lie to block or change the policy way that provided Poland with safety (...). I asked the president of Glapiński how it is possible that 2 months ago he talks about gigantic losses, and now – after visiting individual from the American embassy, after visiting Mr Nawrocki – abruptly the thought of large profit comes up. How come the government gets information about a large failure and abruptly there's a profit? Answer: the president has asked that Mr Glapiński "do something" due to the fact that he does not want European money, so Glapiński should come up with something. You are asking me if I have assurance in Mr Glapinski's "combinations". I think there is no 1 in Poland (...).
On the hazard of multi-annual credit obligations
– all debt – Korean, American or whatever – carries a risk. But here the full European Union is simply a guarantor. The conditions are most favourable: 10 years of credit holidays, 45 years of payment. Start your imagination. Ukraine fights Russia. Russia besides attacks Poland – cyberspace, sabotage, drones. We feel that the threat is growing...
About the upcoming war threat and the anticipation of delaying contacts with the US
– (...) First months of war in Ukraine – desperate search for ammunition in the world. NATO magazines were empty. I do not blame the predecessors, but if we were the subject of the attack 2 – 4 years ago, we would be in the same problem as Ukraine. I can't let that happen again. If I have European money for this, I don't gotta rise taxes, I want to usage it. As Sikorski quoted today, the words of Kaczyński: “Better to indebt than to be occupied” (...). respective countries have already received signals that the war in Iran and the anticipated conflicts in another global theatres of U.S. equipment may be delayed (...). That's why Mr.Nawrocki and Kaczyński are doing an absolutely terrible thing due to the fact that they are blocking something that, from a Polish point of view, is simply a prerequisite for safety for future years (...).
How to Rule
– It is my honour to exercise real power as a real prime minister, not by giving presidents. I have full work no substance what Nawrocki or Kaczyński come up with. I do not like "Plan B" terms. I'd alternatively the president not just focus on civilian war. But no substance what he's going to do and how he's going to behave, we're going to do our occupation anyway. This manic veto of everything makes the parliament lose its sense. Parliament is simply a process, but these crucial laws are always the subject of the President's aggressive conduct. Even greater work so rests with the government. If you gotta regulation without fresh laws – it will be harder, but we must take on it (...). delight realize their panic conflict to block changes concerning the Polish legal strategy and reconstruct the regulation of law. They block it with specified panic due to the fact that they fear for themselves – they know well why.
