For respective weeks, reports have been made of the possible introduction of charges on tankers passing through the Straits of Ormuz. Prior to that, Trump suggested different scenarios – from the US taking over specified charges to possible cooperation with Iran, identifying this thought as beneficial. The White home spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, pointed out, however, that this was only a preliminary proposal, not the president's final decision.
Blocking the Ormuz Strait
In his next entry, Trump accused Iran of violating the terms of the truce by maintaining the blockade of the strait. Although the resumption of shipping was initially announced in cooperation with the Iranian armed forces, Tehran later decided to halt the sea traffic, explaining this by Israel's actions against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Iran is doing a very poor, unhonored job, as any would say, to let oil to flow through the Strait of Ormuz. That wasn't our deal! – Trump assessed.
An anonymous typical of the Iranian authorities stated in an interview with Reuters that the Strait of Ormuz could be reopened on Thursday or Friday, but only partially and on the principles set by Tehran.
