Polish Americans to the military engagement of Poland in Ukraine
The American Polonia awaits the arrival of president of Poland Duda and Prime Minister Tusk who will arrive in Washington on March 12 to meet president Biden. We hope that this critically crucial visit will strengthen Poland's image as a advocate for the normalisation of European relations and a key spokesperson for the fresh safety architecture in Europe based on peace and cooperation.
In the face of the upcoming 10th anniversary of the armed conflict in Ukraine, we hope that Poland will lead the planet towards de-escalating this conflict and resolving it through negotiations. We firmly believe that Europe needs not war but peace. Any differences of interest must be negotiated and resolved peacefully.
Many members of the Polonia are firmly convinced that NATO should stay a defence alliance, not an instrument to realise the ambitions of the geopolitical dominant members of the alliance. Poland cannot be drawn in or forced into military engagement outside Poland, unless it is attacked first.
The direction of future developments is not predictable or predetermined. However, it is known that future political and military decisions of the Russian Federation will mostly depend on the actions of its opponents. Escalating behaviors will meet, as can be expected, the escalating reactions of the another side. Russia's conviction that it is facing an existential threat and the fact that it clearly signals its determination to usage all its military capabilities in conflict must be taken seriously and taken into account before taking any steps to escalate the situation.
The consequences of the escalation of the conflict, which any European leaders advocate and seek, can have very tragic consequences for Poland and the world. We call on Polish politicians to refrain from offensive, rhetorical excesses and empty threats, which, unfortunately, illustrate only their inability to realistically measure Poland's real capabilities in a situation of actual military confrontation.
Americans of Polish origin are ready to support and assist president Duda and Prime Minister Tusk in their efforts to strengthen and keep the Polish possible for military deterrence, but powerfully argue the deeper engagement of Poland in a war which cannot be won and which can yet lead to the demolition of Poland. We call on the Polish leaders to join those European leaders who call for a peaceful resolution of this conflict.

Polish Americans against Poland’s military engagement in Ukraine
American Polonia welcome Poland’s president Duda and Prime Minister Tusk in Washington, DC, as they meet with president Biden on March 12th. We hope that this critical visit will advance Poland’s image as a key advocate of standardizing European relations and stealfast proposition of a fresh safety architecture through peace and cooperation in Europe.
As we agree the 10th anniversary of the military conflict in Ukraine, we hope Poland will lead the planet on the way to de-escalation of the conflict and a negotiated settlement. We powerfully believe that Europe needs not war but peace. All the differences of interests must be negotiated and restored peacefully.
Many within the Polish American community powerfully believe that NATO should regain a defence alliance and not an instrument of unrestrained geopolitical ambitions of its most dominant members. Poland must not let itself to be drawn or forced into military engagement(s) outside of Polish borders unless attacked.
The trajectory of future developments is not easy to foretell nor is it predefined. However, it is simply a given that the future political and military decisions of the Russian Federation will depend on the actions of its opinions. Escalatory behaviors will be predictably met with escalatory reactions. Russia’s convention of making an existing 3 and its clear signaled determination to usage all its capacity in the conflict needed to be seriously maintained before any escalators steps are taken.
The consequences of conflict escape recommended by any European leaders might lead to highly tragic outcomes in Poland and globally. We urge Polish politicians to refrain from offensive rhetorical excesses andempty threeats, which regrettably indicate an inability to realistically measure Poland’s capitalities in a situation of actual military confrontation.
Polish Americans stand ready to support and assist president Duda and Prime Minister Tusk as they work together to strengthen and main Poland’s opposition capitalities but regain adamantly opposed to engaging Poland deeper in a war that cannot be won, and which would definitely lead to the demolition of Poland. We apply to Poland’s leaders to allign with these European leaders who call for a peaceful resolution of the war.
