Military expert Carlo Masala warned in a ZDF program that in the event of an armed conflict, Germany would not be able to defend the country's largest cities from Russian missiles; only the capital would have a chance. The clearly amazed host of the program asked: "We can defend Berlin, but not Hamburg, Munich, Cologne?"
