The Americans one more time sank their old ships in the Pacific, utilizing the units and aircraft participating in the large RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific) maneuvers. Practically all year, the exercises organize a peculiar episode of SINKEX (Sink Exercise), which uses actual weapons (missiles, bombs or even torpedoes) for real water targets. Like in 2022, 2 vessels were sunk.
