In the first half of this year, over 2 million benefits were paid to foreigners. This is the authoritative data provided by MondayNews.pl.
Data provided by MondayNews.pl show that during the period January-June 2023 under the household 500 plus Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) paid over 2 million benefits to abroad children. Most benefits, due to the fact that nearly 1.8 million were donated to Ukrainians. The following places were citizens of Belarus (near 101.5 thousand), Russia (20.8,000), Vietnam (135,000), Romania (12.4,000) and Bulgaria (more than 9.5 thousand).
– Over 3.2 million benefits were paid out throughout 2022. Last year, foreigners accounted for 4% of recipients of 500 plus. Experts foretell that by the end of this year, citizens of another countries will already represent 5% of beneficiaries of the benefit – read on Wprost.pl portal.
Let us remind that with the beginning of next year there will be a valorization of 500 plus to the amount of PLN 800. After the increase, its cost will be approx. PLN 65 billion per year. It is easy to calculate that the mentioned 5%, which is attributable to foreigners, is the expenditure of about PLN 1.3 billion.
