Twenty-two young people from Poland and Ukraine received scholarships from Our Future Foundation (OFF) yesterday. This means that they will receive assistance in recruitment to the best global universities and support in obtaining backing for their studies. In the gala at the Royal Castle, during which the honored received scholarships, the Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz took part.
– The mission of the government and mine is to leave Poland better than we found Poland to our children and grandchildren. And this cannot be done without education, cognition and culture," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence during the V Scholarship Gala OFF. During the ceremony at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, scholarships of the most talented youth from Poland and Ukraine were presented.
As the Deputy Prime Minister recalled, Our Future Foundation (OFF) is in order that, regardless of where you live, material position or worldview, everyone can make their skills, passions and self. Yes, to service the dear man and his country well. “This is simply a foundation another than all, here is the extraordinary energy of youth, the joy of what is done, the pride of Poland, large cognition and skills”, stressed Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish. In his speech, the head of the MON mentioned the war that is going on behind our east border. As he said, it is not only a fight between Russia and Ukraine, but besides a war of civilization. It is not only about territory but besides about fundamental values: freedom, the right to self-determination and independence.
Prof. Marek Gzik, Deputy Minister of discipline and Higher Education, besides addressed young scholarship holders. – I am firmly convinced that the possible you have in you deserves the highest honors in the planet of science. However, you will not do it on your own," the Deputy Minister noted. He added that it was crucial for young people to be able to benefit from learning opportunities in abroad renowned centres. – grow your competences there, gain experience, but you must promise us that you will return to the country afterwards. And we will effort to make attractive conditions for you," said Prof. Gzik.

In turn, Simon Holovnia, talker of the Sejm, congratulated future scholarship holders on their determination and courage to fulfill their dreams in a letter addressed to the participants of the gala. “I am convinced that learning at prestigious abroad universities will aid you to grow your cognition and make your talents. I trust that you will connect your future professional life with Poland" wrote Hołownia.
In this edition of the scholarship foundation, 22 people were selected from all voivodships from over 500 applications from advanced school students, method and vocational schools. They are winners of the technological Olympics, start-ups founders, young artists and athletes. “An crucial criterion for the selection of winners was social activity, volunteering and engagement in actions for local communities,” emphasised Kamil Tomkowicz, associate of the board of the OFF. Foundation scholarship holders will receive assistance in recruiting for the best global colleges specified as Harvard, Yale, Oxford, as well as support in obtaining backing for their studies. “We support talented young people from Poland and Ukraine, due to the fact that there is no better investment than investment in youth and education”, said Tomkowicz.
Our Future Foundation is simply a Polish organization that brings together over 500 young Poles, students and graduates of universities with a planet reputation in Europe, North America and Asia. It aims to combat inequalities in access to education and to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds on their way to the best national and abroad universities. The organization besides facilitates the return of young, educated Poles to the country and the first steps on the professional career path. Over the last 5 years, the OFF has organised more than 50 educational programs and events, thanks to which more than 20,000 young people have gained the skills needed to find themselves in the labour market.
