Document under development George Hausner, is an independent survey of experts analysing key indicators of the regulation of law, public finances, the quality of institutions and climate policy.

– So far we have mainly analysed Central European countries, this year we have expanded the survey to include Spain, Italy and Lithuania, which allows us to look at Poland in a broader European context. There is simply a slight improvement in part of the indicators, but besides fresh challenges – especially the condition of public finances and the increasing debt of the country – says Jacek Martyrco-author of the report.

– economical and social improvement is based on the broadly understood economical credibility of the state. Its low value, not only in the area of public finances or fiscal policies, but besides in terms of the quality of public policies and the labour market, makes countries more susceptible to crises.

Poland is inactive not making full usage of its possible and in a number of areas we see a field of improvement.

Building economical credibility present is simply a prerequisite for further improvement – adds Dr hab. Agnieszka Chłoń-Dominczak, prof. of Warsaw School of Economics.
