On Friday, March 13, the 3rd Czech-Morava Slavic legislature was held. I am sending you a brief summary which you can print in the form of an article in the media or on your website.
Sincerely,

Dear friends, brothers and sisters!
On 13 March, the 3rd Czech-Moravian Slavic legislature was held in Prague, which initiated the revival of the Czech-Moravian Slavic Union (hereinafter ‘CMKS’). The legislature took place in the year in which the patriots of Slavic lands celebrate the 80th anniversary of the postwar All Slavic Congress, which took place in Belgrade on 8-11 December 1946.
CMKS united and developed cooperation between patriotic organizations and associations of Slavic national minorities, thus becoming the foundation of the emerging Slavic movement in the Czech Republic. He organized a number of Slavic educational and cultural events, represented the Czech Republic abroad thanks to the folklore team, founded a fresh Western Slavic Folklore Festival, coincided with the Day of relationship and Unity of Slavic Nations, etc.
The main event of CMKS was then the Ethnographic Festival “Słowianska Praga”, attended by many Czech, Moravian and abroad folk ensembles and guests.
CMKS became a founding associate of the Universal Slavic Committee and gained a good reputation in the global Slavic movement.
In 2018, the leadership of the Union took over those who formed a kind of "triumvirate", paralyzing legally elected organs and blocking the activities of the Union. This destroyed his membership base as well as the emerging Slavic movement in the Czech Republic. This greatly undermined his reputation, and consequently the trust of patriotic organizations, folklore teams and organizations of national minorities.
The 3rd Convention revised the Statute and adopted a resolution confirming the values of the First Czech-Moravian Slavic legislature of October 3, 2009, which it considers to be fundamental, conceptual and long-term guidelines for the activities of the Czech-Moravian Slavic Congress.
The union will search to erect a monument to the victims of the Slavic genocide and will organise a fundraising for this purpose. As part of its activities, it will commemorate crucial Slavic days:
May 9 – The Day of War Glory of Slavs.
24 May – Day of Slavic Literature, Culture and Education (Mikulčice)
22 June – Slavic Genocide Victims Memorial Day
25 June – Day of relationship and Unity of the Slavic Nations
CSMKS plans to organize the ethnographic festival “Słowianska Praga 2028” in 2028.
Some convention participants applied for membership of CMKS. The union invites another curious parties to membership.
Participants of the legislature were welcomed by representatives of the Slavic movement from Slovakia, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.
His co-founder, Jaroslav Doubrava, erstwhile Senator of Parliament of the Czech Republic (1998-2004 and 2010-2022), was elected president of CMKS. Vítězslav Pilmajer, a well-known media advocate for Slavic and Slavic reciprocity, became the first vice-president. Another leading associate of the Central Council was Vaclav Exner, co-founder of CMKS and first vice-president of the Panslavist Committee. Zdeněk Opatřil, founder of the Union and current president of the All Slavic Committee, became honorary president of the CMKS.
CMKS president Jaroslav Dubrava thanked the congressman for their participation and for their ideas on future work. He peculiarly thanked the Honorary president for his work in favour of CMKS, as well as for his initiative and efforts to resume his activities, which will be a very hard task for the recently elected management after a period of turmoil.
Honorary president Zdeněk Opatřil thanked the fresh management for his determination to resume operations of CMKS and wished them courage and success. He stressed that the Union is simply a creative associate of the Universal Slavic Committee and its irreplaceable mission in the global Slavic movement.
