A seminar on the future of global organisations will be held at the University of Warsaw in the face of increasing geopolitical turbulence. The event organised by the European Centre of the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the Civic improvement Forum will be attended, among others, by Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk.
On 30 September, a seminar entitled “Global crisis of multilateral institutions, or global organizations in the era of geopolitical turbulence, will be held in the legislature Hall of the Kazimierz Palace. Implications, scenarios and strategical conclusions for the EU and Poland".
During the event, an effort will be made to show how the global crisis of global organisations and the gradual failure of Western states' influence on China and another countries of the Global South can affect the position of the European Union, including Poland, on the global stage, and what applicable consequences this may have for EU citizens.
The gathering will besides effort to answer questions:
- how the West and the EU can regain influence in global organisations;
- to what degree the activities of the PRC and another global actors in these structures affect the improvement of selected Polish and European industries;
- which recommendations and proposals should be formulated to increase the effectiveness of Poland and the EU in this area.
The event will be attended by Cezary Tomczyk, Deputy Minister of National Defence, as well as representatives of science, business, government, think tanks, parliamentarians and experts. The seminar will be opened by Prof. Ewa Krogulec, Head of the University of Warsaw Development.
