Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Holovnia appeared at a press conference on Monday. He wanted to explain the resounding subject of his gathering with the PiS representatives.
The gathering took place last night from Thursday to Friday last week. The place was the flat of PiS MEP Adam Bielan. It was attended by the president of the leading opposition party, Jarosław Kaczyński. There was besides Deputy talker of the Senate, Michał Kamiński.
During the press conference, Szymon Hołownia announced that “he wants, he may and will” to meet “everyone if the conversation concerns crucial matters for Poland”. He stated that Poland was in a “difficult position” today, hence there is simply a request for talks. The Marshal of the Sejm besides stated that it was unfortunate that Adam Bielan's place of gathering was chosen; the very fact of gathering with the representatives of the Law and Justices, however, powerfully defended.
Simon Holovnia besides stressed that after the second circular of presidential elections he was "on the side of the voice of people and democracy, not on the side of the political sect" and present "takes whips for it". It is about the fact that the talker of the Sejm recognized the legitimacy of the election of Karol Nawrocki as president, in contrare to votes from the Civic Coalition calling for the recalculation of votes or even the organisation of re-elections.
Previously, “Onet” reported that Szymon Hołownia spoke to PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński about his political future. According to “Onet”, any sources claimed that the Holovnia would like to be Prime Minister. However, ‘Onet’ considered these assumptions to be unlikely, pointing out that the Holovnia would alternatively hold its current office as Marshal of the Sejm. After the possible overthrow of the Tusk government, a method government with a formally independent Prime Minister would be established. During the press conference, Szymon Hołownia made it clear that "he received from no 1 and in no coalition format a proposal to be Prime Minister". He besides denied receiving a proposal to proceed the mission of the Marshal of the Sejm after 13 November 2025. “We do not have any talks about any another coalition — neither I nor Poland 2050 — including specified talks with the Law and Justice,” he said.
According to the “Onet” of Simon Holown gathering with the president of the Law and Justice in Adam Bielan's flat was not the only one; they were to meet before.
