An experienced peculiar Forces soldier, a associate of six abroad missions and 1 of the first JTACs in the Polish Army – elder Staff Ensign Mirosław Ziarniak took the position of elder Petty Officer of the General Staff of the Polish Army. This is the highest post of the Polish Armed Forces.
The fresh elder CO of SGWP is 1 of the most experienced soldiers in the Polish Army. He began his military service in 1992 at the Podoficer School and Junior Specialists in Ljubljana. "It was a course that tested not only physical condition, but above all the nature and ability to work as a team," he said in an interview given to the monthly magazine "Army Poland". Mission experience
St. Chor. szt. Ziarniak took part in a mission in the Republic of Iraq and 5 times in the muslim Republic of Afghanistan as part of the ISAF and Resolute Support Mission missions. He is 1 of the first JTACs in the Polish Army to execute during the mission tasks of managing airspace and indicating goals for aviation. As JTAC he participated in more than 200 peculiar operations.
