During the October gathering of our club we discussed bringing to Poland the remains of Józef Giza, Brigadier General of the Polish Army, independency activist, bachelor of the Order of Virtuti Militari, who died on emigration in London in 1965 and always wanted to be able to remainder in Nowy Sącz after death.
The boy of the general is our oldest clubmate Tadeusz Giza aged 96, who gave us the current state of the process of bringing his father's body. The boy of Mr Tadeusz is prof. Jerzy Giza, Honorary Citizen of our city and for many years our sympathiser.
We will keep you informed of the advancement of the work and make certain that the remains of our hero yet remainder at home as he wishes.
