Senior Policy Minister announced the implementation of a peculiar elder voucher, which he plans to introduce as early as 2024. She described in item who he would be entitled to.
The elder bonus was designed as a form of support for people who are active professionally and at the same time do not have the chance to care for relatives of elder age. This is an intention to let the organisation of care services for older people at their place of residence in situations where they request support and care. Marzena Okła-Drewnowicz, in a conversation, stressed this concept as a solution to balance the needs of work with care for the older generation, providing the means to care for those who cannot pay full attention to their aged loved ones.

"My key goal in the first 100 days of office will be to introduce a elder voucher that will supply support for aged care. At the same time, we will focus on the creation of a law regulating the process of obtaining qualifications to care for the elderly. These are 2 main priorities in the current context. Moreover, the activation of seniors will be an highly crucial area, where we besides plan to present carefully thought-out proposals."

During the discussion, the Minister for elder Policy provided additional information on the planned benefit. She pointed out that this support would not be paid in cash but could be regulated for the costs of services. The squad expects that following the introduction of this financial instrument, local governments will be motivated to employment assistants and guardians for older people who request support.
However, she stressed that we cannot hazard people. Before implementing the program, we plan to consult the elder community and representatives of local governments. These discussions will enable us to make changes in a prudent manner, respecting the timetable needed. This approach will let us to adapt the programme to the real needs and situations of the elderly, avoiding experiments on their wellness or welfare.
