The Canadian [Global and Mail](https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-canada-eu-military-procurement-fund-defence-spending/) confirmed the addition of the government of Mark Carney to the EU SAFE instrument. At this point, it is unknown how much Ottawa will pay to join the programme. It is known for what the northern neighbour of the United States can gain.
