In addition, an 8-billion-dollar support package was adopted for Taiwan and strengthening the defence of the Indo-Pacific region. Amendments to remove financial assistance to Ukraine were rejected.

Now the bill will go to the Senate, where it is expected to be voted on next week. As the typical of the Democrats stressed in an interview with the Polish Press Agency, the vote may take place on Tuesday, although the deadline will depend on procedural arrangements between parties.

Russia's consequence to the home of Representatives' decision

Dmitry Pieskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin, commented on the home of Representatives' decision as an action that “will ruin more” Ukraine and will increase the number of deaths in conflict. In an interview with the press agency Tass, Pieskov besides expressed concerns that the provisions in the bill allowing the confiscation of Russian seized property and the transfer of it to the reconstruction of Ukraine could negatively affect the image of the United States. He besides announced that Russia would respond by taking measures in its own interest.
