Command 2 Polish Corps – Command of the Land Component consistently strengthens its command and management capabilities of troops. 1 of the key elements of this process is the improvement and modernisation of the subordinate command support unit. Recently, a crucial step in this direction was taken by the 5th Command Regiment, which received modern command cars coded “Zavilec”.
The fresh equipment importantly increases the operational possible of the regiment, and thus the full 2nd Polish Corps, providing a higher level of mobility, safety and efficiency of the command strategy in national and allied activities – emphasises the press spokesperson for 2nd Polish Corps, Colonel Robert Białowoski.
5th Command Regiment – key link of command system
5th Command Regiment is simply a specialized unit liable for providing communication, information systems and command and relay support for the operational structures of the Polish Army. The regiment, called "Rząskers" by soldiers, has been playing a key function for years in securing the functioning of command posts at brigade, division and land component level.
Thanks to the systematic acquisition of modern equipment and the advanced level of staff training, the unit is prepared to operate in conditions of peace, crisis and armed conflict – both within and outside Poland.
Visit of the commander of the 2nd Polish Corps before Christmas
Just before Christmas, the recently acquired equipment was presented to the Commander of the 2nd Polish Corps. During the visit, commander of the 5th Command Regiment, Colonel Dariusz Ludwikowski, together with crews and specialists discussed in item the specificity of the fresh Command Vehicles, their capabilities and their importance for the implementation of operational tasks, informs Colonel Robert Białowoski.
Gen. weapon Dr. Adam Joks had the chance to personally get acquainted with the method solutions utilized in vehicles and to see how fresh equipment would support the actions of 2nd Polish Corps in the command and command strategy from the beginning of next year.
‘Zavilec’ command cars – description and capabilities
Zawilec's tactical command wagons were built on the proven KTO Rosomak platform, which guarantees them advanced mobility, ballistic protection and ability to operate in hard terrain and combat conditions.
The most crucial characteristics and components of the equipment of wagons include:
• advanced radio stations for full encrypted digital communications,
• multi-station IT systems allowing the processing of classified information with advanced clauses,
• the anticipation of integration into national and allied command systems,
• ergonomic workstations for crew and staff,
• full mobility of the command post in a rapidly changing tactical situation.
The solutions utilized make Zawilca a modern, mobile command center, capable of working in real time, without the request to make an extended stationary infrastructure.

The introduction of Zawilec Command Vehicles to the service is not only an increase in method capacity, but above all a real strengthening of combat and decision-making capabilities. Obtaining Zawilec Wozów Command by 5th Command Regiment is further evidence of the consistent improvement of the capabilities of the Polish Army and effective cooperation with the national defence industry. The fresh equipment will shortly be utilized during exercises, training and real operational activities, providing Command 2 of the Polish Corps with the highest standard of communication and command.
It is an investment in safety, efficiency and readiness – the foundations of modern Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland.
