The SSR is military equipment introduced into the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and serves to locate, identify and track targets, monitor the activities of the opponent in a defined area with a minimum area of 90 000 m
2 or 1 section of a road with a minimum dimension of 500 metres in all terrain conditions. The SSR is intended to be utilized at tactical level by designated reconnaissance patrols within individual military divisions.
The erstwhile purchases of these systems were the consequence of a contract concluded as a consequence of a competitive public procurement procedure. 116 SSR sets were ordered in 2019, as well as staff training, repair kits and method documentation were purchased. The agreement was implemented by a consortium of companies: Siltec Sp. z o.o. as leader and Exensor Technology Aktiebolog (member of the CNIM Group) as a abroad partner, maker of the Flexnet system.
