Decision of Mentzen

Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik reported on social media that she no longer serves as president of the territory of Nowa Hope in Warsaw. The Confederate MEP explained that the decision was taken by the group leader, Sławomir Mentzen. In her entry she thanked her erstwhile colleagues for their joint actions and pointed out that she appreciated the experience gained at that time.

Today, by decision of the president of the Nowa Nadzieja party, I ceased to service as president of the Podwarszaw district. It was an highly valuable political experience for me! I'm very glad the territory was able to integrate and get back on its feet. There are many valuable, industrious and devoted people in Poland. Thank you all for your support, commitment and all good word! – wrote the Euro MP.

Zajączkowska-Hernik besides added:

For me, a time of fresh and courageous initiatives begins. I intend to engage in work for you even more and enter another fresh level of political activity. I'm certain the coming year will be peculiar and groundbreaking! Together we must make a strong run for the parliamentary elections in 2027, which will be crucial for the future of Poland!

Was Braun the reason?

Under the published entry the comment was made by the president of Nowa Nadziej Sławomir Mentzen, who thanked her for her work in the territory so far. It was a laconic message that did not uncover much erstwhile it came to the scenes of the appeal case of a Confederate member. However, there was any speculation. They afraid the possible transition of Zajączkowska-Hernik to Grzegorz Braun's group. According to Onet, the politician herself was expected to fuel these reports by making favorable gestures towards the leader of the Confederation of the Polish Crown, including inviting him to talk on his YouTube channel.

Grzegorz Braun and his possible coalition Janusz Korwin-Mikke express themselves about Zajączkowska-Hernik in a affirmative way. Despite circulating reports of a possible transfer of the Euro MP, it is inactive unclear what were the reasons for the decision to revoke it in the territory of Warsaw.

Troubled Financial Statements

Mentzen's organization has an additional problem, as in late November, the territory Court in Warsaw decided to remove Nowa Nadziej's organization from the registry of political groups. The party, founded in 2015 by Janusz Korwin-Mikke, presently runs Sławomir Mentzen. The decision of the court was the consequence of a request from the State Election Commission, which indicated that the organization had failed to comply with the work to submit its accounts for 2024.

Judge Joanna Korzeń stressed that the timely submission of financial statements was 1 of the main duties of political parties, while recalling that the deadline for submitting papers was 31 March.

New Hope Vice president Bartłomiej Pejo stressed in June that the organization considered the financial statements to have been filed in time, indicating that the problem was due to the explanation of PKW. The ‘Rzeczpospolita’ established that the paper had been transmitted by an unauthorised person, resulting in its annulment.

The judgement of the court is not final, and fresh Hope members previously declared that they would appeal in case of a negative decision.
