When the plan and production phase of the Sentinel rocket strategy was approved in September 2020, the cost of a single rocket was assumed to be USD 118 million and the full program to be $77.7 billion. In January of that year these assumptions proved obsolete and the fresh calculations indicated US$ 162 million per copy. Including the accompanying costs of the programme including the command and construction (reconstruction) of silos, including these costs, the average price for the projectile is present calculated at – bagatela – $214 million. At the same time, the expected costs of the full program increased to US$140.9 million. Moreover, the Pentagon reported in a message on this subject that in the absence of a consequence to these increases, costs could possibly increase to up to USD 160 million.
