New ammunition for French tanks

In June 2024, DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement) concluded an agreement with KNDS Ammo worth €100 million for the production and transportation of sub-calibre anti-tank ammunition, brachially stabilized, with a discarded sabot and smudge (APFSDS-T - Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot - Tracer). At present, the maker has notified the date of commencement of production and supply to start in 2029.
