On Thursday, the Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the MON Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that he expected the boards representing the captain Witold Pilecki, father of Maximilian Maria Kolbe and the Ulmów household to return to permanent exhibition at the Museum of planet War II in Gdańsk. As he noted: "For us these are heroes who unite Poles".
The museum, headed by Prof. Rafał Wnuk since April, plans to reconstruct the main exhibition to the state of 2017. The changes concern the exposition of portraits and photographs of key characters, specified as Captain Witold Pilecki, Father Maximilian Maria Kolbe and the Ulmów family. Under the cover of the night of June 24-25, the exhibition of these heroes was removed.
In Polsat News, Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamish commented:
For us they are heroes, for all of us in Poland (...). erstwhile I perceive to those who say: nothing happened, it is only a return to the artistic vision, that return hurt many of us. It's just sad what happened....

In 2020, the Gdańsk territory Court rejected most of the claims of the first exhibition's authors, including the removal of portraits and photographs of these heroes. However, the court found that the exhibition and its script were protected by copyright, and the museum violated these rights, resulting in a charge of PLN 10 000 for the Autistic Persons Association.
Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz stressed that the intervention in this case was undertaken by Deputy Minister of Culture Bożena Żelazowska, who spoke to the head of the Ministry Hanna Wróblewski. “Our club and Marshal Zgorzelski besides spoke to Minister Wróblewski. We are counting on the implementation of this proposal," he said.
National community and heroism – Kosiniak-Kamish
Kosiniak-Kamysz pointed out that Prime Minister Donald Tusk besides took action in the museum with regret, stressing that specified actions "destroy the community" and omit crucial figures in the past of Poland.

Museum plans
The planet War II Museum reported on its website that it intends to reconstruct the coherence of the full exhibition. "We are now returning to the first version of the script and visions of the authors of sections +Concentration Camps System+ and +Road to Auschwitz+ part of the exhibition entitled +Gross of War+".
A Shared View of History
Prime Minister Donald Tusk, referring to the issue during the press conference, expressed hope that the museum would combine various narratives, but above all, combine Poles in knowing history.
"I hope that decisions will be taken that will invalidate this confusion," said the head of government.
The Minister of Culture Hanna Wróblewski besides stressed that past should not be a tool for political disputes. She pointed out that the exhibition designed by Rafał Wnuk, Paweł Machcewicz, Janusz Marszalec and Piotr M. Majewski, has its circumstantial structure and form, which cannot be regarded as a catalogue of all well-deserved characters.
